Make Your Own Flower Crown
Ya’ll, I ain’t gonna lie, flower crowns are EXPENSIVE.
Why?
They’re pretty labor intensive! And they require more flowers than you would think.
That’s why I figured it’d be kinda fun and useful to show you how to make your own!
Flower crowns are LIFE! I love them SO much. I’ve included them in every family photography session for the last 6 years.
Materials Needed:
-Floral wire
-flowers of your choice (the flowers I chose for this tutorial are feverfew (tetra and sunny ball), statice, strawflower, and asters.
-Floral tape
-Ribbon
Step 1: Cut all your stems to be 1-2 inches (enough to be able to wrap the base with floral tape)
Step 2: Measure your head for an approximate length of floral wire to attach flowers to. Bend both ends into loops.
Step 3: Begin adding one stem at a time, at a slight angle, by wrapping and pulling the floral tape around the base of each stem.
*some choose to bunch flowers together before attaching to wire, but I find this to be a waste of time, I prefer to choose one stem, attach, and bunch as I go. It’s also sturdier this way.
